Construction will be completed in two stages to allow for continuous nursery and school provision through the building works.

Phase 1 (2019 - 2021) will consist of developing the south portion of the site. The current Harmony nursery building, the unoccupied caretaker’s house, the Adult Education Centre, part of the Ark Swift facilities and unused NHS portacabins will be demolished.

Construction will then begin of the primary school, the Youth Zone, the office building and training facilities, and the residential units above the primary school. During this period, the nursery and primary provisions will be housed in the remaining Ark Swift building.

Phase 2  (2020 - 2022) will be the construction of the north proportion of the site. This will include the new nursery building, the Adult Education Centre, and the residential units above the nursery. The pedestrian and cycle boulevard and the civic square will also be completed in Phase 2.
